SO I got about half way through blogging about my trip and decided I was done with trying to be detail oriented … It’s going to be bullet points!
Tuesday Night: Atlantic City, Gambling, WON 30.00! I was the only one to leave in the Green!
Wednesday: Atlantic City Outlet Shopping, My first Coach purse purchase, walking the boardwalk, I drove the couple hour drive to Newark NJ got lost in the ghetto but ended up ok.. then took the train to NYC and celebrated Cinco De Mayo in Time Square (Made it to the big screen, ate beef on a stick from a street vendor and finished up the night with Jamba Juice!)
Thursday: Drove into NYC, tripped around the city. [Ground Zero, China Town, Central Park, The Natural History Museum, Brooklyn Bridge, Thai food in Chinatown, Walking and Subways]
Friday: 4-5 hour journey to Boston turned out to be 7.5ish hours and we made it to Fenway in the 2nd inning, went to Cheers, took a cab, Boston wandered…
Saturday: Rainy Rainy.. Boston Touring, and saw a friend and then home for a quick nap
Sunday: UP EARLY to the airport then home!

I found this on blog I have been reading and I made it the background on my cell phone and on my laptop and I am trying to make it a way of thinking… 
Today was a beautiful day and I didn’t sleep it away! (Surprise! huh?) I went to the gym, and stopped at the grocery. I had a gentleman with some sort of developmental disability help me with my groceries.”Uh Oh, this one has a leak” He informed me my 1/2 gallon of milk was leaking. He promptly took my milk and went to get me another one, without being compelled. I smiled and was so grateful for the experience.
He noticed the small things. I had been too busy rushing around to get home to get things done before work and I had a million thoughts running through my head that I didn’t even notice that my milk was leaking in my cart… After checking the expiration date, in it went and off I went to the next isle. Stop and notice the small things. The grandeur of life is made up of small bits of sunshine and joy. Not just happiness, but true soul piercing joy. Smile at strangers, hold doors, be polite, give people the benefit of the doubt. Make every choice you make, count. When you do something wrong fix it and try harder the next time. Life is a gift that most everyone takes for granted, myself included. One patient I cared for recently changed that for me. She has spent most of the year since January in the Hospital fighting Cancer. Her own body is attacking it’s self and not once have I heard her mutter something negative. She fights everyday, all day for her life back, and is so resilient. I am grateful for the experiences I have at work and the lessons my patients and their families teach me.
We all have trials, tribulations and temptations. God has given us the power to overcome them, and not just get past them but learn something, and not just something we need but maybe something we need to share with someone else. So today I challenge you all to count the beautiful things around you and truely try to appreciate God’s gift to us… LIFE..

Due to the front of the property sitting on a busy street, the driveway is on a side street and thus everyone comes in the garage!

—> Closet # 1 (of 2 in the Bedroom)… I went from one small but adequate close to 2 and now I can’t even fill them.. I have a utility close and 2 closets in both entries.. and they aren’t all even filled! And ignore the messy clothing below (to the LEFT), I am packing for a trip! 
–> The Bonus room that previous housed my bed and night stand before my couch arrived.. Now it’s empty.. Guest Bedroom or Workout Room is the question..?
SO (BELOW) is my “galley” style kitchen with just enough space for cooking for me, and a big enough opening I can manage to see my TV while cooking.. probably not the best idea due to fact that I am ADD and not a chef..
And last but not least… THE 42in (Now paid off in full… I own myself) Plasma HD TV… and I have gotten used to my satellite with DVR.. I LOVE fast forwarding through commercials!.. SO that’s the basics.. there are a few more closets and other various things but you will just have to visit in person.. Next up on the list of things to do.. HOUSE WARMING PARTY! .. and the theme doesn’t even have to be “Bring your own seating” anymore!

Really, over a month? I mean come on… I have been that pathetic really? Well quite a bit has happened in the last month. Bullet points it its:
-> Moved into my own Condo that I am leasing for the next year
-> Vacationed to Maui with Will for a week, and it was a week in paradise
-> Remember P90X? Yea.. about that.. Now I am a member of LA Fitness and I have a new workout buddy “MistleToe” (NOT HER REAL NAME) (Thanks to Will, recruiting new friends!) I am weight training, and doing a diet from Natty Nutrition [Check them out! They are amazing, and the results are UNBELIEVABLE] (I did this program last year and had great success but I lacked Motivation and a Goal which, will NOT be the case this year!)
–> I have been working to make my Condo a home.. Re-arranging furniture, settling in with all my awesome house-warming gifts from PT, My Mommy, and Lara, purchasing a 42in Plasma TV, breaking my washer and then having it fixed again, cooking and baking, and finally yesterday moving in a couch, chair and ottoman. (Thanks to Lara from work and her husband’s truck We provided quite the entertainment for many passer-byes and her little son) I honestly don’t know how on earth we got them to fit through the door, first things first we had to drive her truck on our front lawn. Then we repositioned the couch from the truck bed through my door with various carrying and moving methods (Unconventional of course, end over end, sliding, all sorts of positions). The couch shed about 4 dollars in coins, pens, pencils, nerf darts, old candy and food wrappers and random items.. Once in we got it positioned and it’s looking great! I decided to clean out the chair and couch with PT’s vacuum because mine doesn’t have an extension. Let’s just say I have NEVER seen a dirtier inside of a couch..and We have had some nasty couch experiences (just ask the brothers..) I found an Arrowhead, house key,FULL SIZE house phone, enough candy to fill Wonka’s factory, a handful of pens and pencils, markers, NERF Darts, shredded dog toy, I think?, I was surprised a small furry animal didn’t JUMP out at me.. I did scream a few times after touching various surfaces.. after a trip to Target to buy leather cleaner and fixing things up we are looking ship shape and they are very comfortable! We just need to break them in with some spooning! Haha 
Also something I wasn’t going to blog about originally but decided to . is my new relationship with Dave Chapelle. A few weeks ago he waltzed in to the Chipotle in Beavercreek to use the bathroom and then head to 5 guys. He walked buy various guests and smiled and nodded. Then earlier this week I saw him at the gym and he smiled,nodded and said hey as I went to re-wrack my free weights. I still believe he just felt sorry for my burn. (SIDE NOTE: MY BURN –> Maybe I was straightening my hair, texting and watching a TV Show on my laptop while getting ready for work. I turned my head and pinched my cheek/chin in my 410 degree flat iron for my hair. I felt the sizzling of my skin as blisters formed and popped instantly. I applied Ice, it felt better than I finished getting ready for work and hopped into my car. 10 mins into driving to work I noticed my face was red, tender and swollen from my mouth to the back of my neck… I get to work and all my colleagues freaked! It just so happened that the blisters formed Triangle shapes.. It looks like elevator arrows.. I hope it doesn’t scar, but it if does, at least they are original.. ) anyway.. back to Dave C.. That night I told my friend I just had a gut feeling he and I were going to be great friends… PT laughed and told me I am delusional.. and then what happens last night? I see him again and as I am running on my treadmill minding my own business, shake to shuffling my IPOD. He talked to me, making a funny comment about finding the perfect song… so we will have he to see what happens in the future.. I still am convinced a friendship is possible!
… I have had some new friends enter my life, friendships get stronger, family dynamics change, grown up experiences, new potential dates, and it’s been a great few months.. Hopefully I will get back to blogging REGULARLY again because we all know my life is worth it… One Crazy, Hilarious story after Another!

The Gym: I am going consistently and I am LOVING it… I have found that Creepers tend to work out in the AM and the more attractive crowd is in the evening after work.. I will have to adjust my schedule accordingly..
Shopping: Hoarding homey supplies.. Tampons and Tide were on sale this week at Target. When you bought 2 P&G items you got a 5.oo gift card! I was proud of myself, though I made 3 or 4 trips to Target this week – I made wise purchases! Only 3 boxes of Tampons, 2 jugs of Tide. Bought a new laundry basket, 2 towel sets, and other various NEEDED items.. deodorant, toothbrushes.. etc. Need Vs. Want!
Baking: Weekly when off work I am trying a new baking treat.. “Better than [Insert Here .. something you enjoy but can be topped with an edibley delicious cake!] Here’s the RECIPE I used as a jumping point, because we all know I don’t follow them exactly! I like to “experiment” … here’s the end result!

Bi-weekly Car washes and mini detail: I have found that I have to wash and vacuum out my car at least every other week. It tends to be pay day weeks I will take my car and clean it up, but I have found lately that I have been cleaning it more frequently now that the weather permits. I am feeling a special “SPRING CLEANING” in April.. I want to shampoo my carpets and get new car mats! Possibly thinking about reading how to treat my leather seats and doing that as well. I am still unable to re-call what I named my car, because you all know you must name the car to improve performance, gas mileage, and just to keep it personal with your expensive piece of machinery. And in my case I spend most of my time in zipping around town! My first car was Darlene, and my last one was Lexie (RIP :*( I still think about you and MISS you payments and gas mileage!) I am working on a name that fits this jazzy new little friend of mine…
Photography: I am still experimenting with my newer Canon Camera and can’t wait for trip and summertime to come so I can shoot some fun pictures.. .. and then FALL as well is my FAVORITE TIME OF YEAR!
iTunes: I have almost compulsively been downloading movies and music from iTunes which is a change for me.. I am convinced I killed my old laptop with a virus from downloading from LimeWire and I just want this Laptop to last a whole lot longer for me… Though the previous one did serve it’s purpose!
Bonding with Jay: has involved hilarious conversations about life, playing the board game life, watching the office, binging on Meijer fruit snacks, inappropriately immature public poking each others eyes, kicking, and hilarious conversations to get people’s head turning… I <3 My 9 year old Jamba!

So my blogging efforts over the last week have reflected how I have been performing in life lately.. LAZILY! I slipped on P90x last week, and I decided that I needed to join a gym and I am going to rotate with P90x. I need a variety or I get bored! So I have been going to a little local gym 1-2 times a day and I feel great getting back into the gym going routine! I forgot how much I LOVE lifting weights! (Thanks Willy for showing me the ropes!)
CREEPER EXPERIENCE OF THE WEEK 1: After working one night I went to the gym before going home to sleep… and this is what happened.. [Never wearing scrubs into the gym, or changing into a nursing related t-shirt and spandex again.. I get on a machine and wouldn't you expect it the guy next to me hit on me? (He was so loud.. the guy at the front desk even laughed at the exchange) Then he proceeded to tell me about how he wanted to be a nurse and how impressed he was that I was an RN... he dropped out after A & P and failed his other classes and is just working for now.. But its ok, he's better at lifting heavy things anyway? He would probably make a better security guard then nurse?... That just happened...]
I have also been slammed with work due to it being our busy season, and helping out a friend. I have been working quite a lot lately… like this week only had Thursday and Friday off! So don’t worry your little heads, you didn’t miss anything in my blogging absence.
So Day OFF 1: Thursday, I was supposed to meet up with Willy so he could do a practice Physical Fitness test for one of his classes.. well I was an idiot, set my alarm for 11pm instead of am and overslept (imagine that) So instead I went to the Gym and Tanning.. home to shower and prep for a dinner date with a friend. We met at The Pub at the Greene (though I don’t drink, I Love their food and the atmosphere is SO FUN!) Enjoyed a great dinner… minus 1 thing… POOP … No I didn’t have to Poop or have any dirty mishaps.. but it was brought up in DINNER conversation… Just because I am an RN and grew up with 3 brothers doesn’t mean I enjoy Poop Dinner conversations… because I DON’T … personally I LOATHE POOP!
[ok Flash back to last November... My sly friend from AZ tried to hook me up on a date with a friend of his from Columbus, I was skeptical at first but agreed. Had a great time with the guy! Really enjoyed his company.. minus... 2 incidents.. He brought Poop up in a PRE DATE TEXTING COVERSATION and then at my house... he pooped and DIDN'T Flush it!... So this was my FIRST encounter with 1st Date Poop Convo...I was NOT pleased!] So Thursday made 2nd “1st Date Poop Convo”.. once again NOT pleased…
After the date, thursday night I ventured shopping to buy something new for WICKED… Von Maur was a bust so ventured to my trusty back up… Target…. Who always comes through for me. I wasn’t having a very productive shopping trip because..
–> OK I CONFESS.. I <3 the movie The Hangover, and I downloaded it from Itunes and put it on my IPOD… so I was walking around Target watching The Hangover laughing and being distracted, so I had to call in back up.. PT! She’s the best! Within 10 mins of her being at Target with my, she whipped me into shape and out of my whiny “I can’t find anything attitude” … We found a zebra print skirt, lime green t-shirt and black cardigan! Impressive! My other plans fell through so I hung at PT and her hubs for a bit and we watched.. you guessed it.. The Hangover..
Day Off 2: Friday- Today I slept in until about 230 because I didn’t get much sleep yesterday.. didn’t have enough time to G&T (I now abbreviate Gym, Tan and Laundry.. GTL..these are some of my everyday events and that is how the abbreviate it on the show Jersey Shore and I Loved it when I heard it.. ) so I was still sore from my intense workouts yesterday, and I decided to skip the G and just T .. just a little R&R before WICKED! Came home, showered, and started up my 3 curling irons.. (That’s right I use 3 curling irons to get my rocking hair..) 
Looks good though doesn’t it? Make up (Check) Outfit (Check) Leaving on time… well I left RIGHT on TIME and mother nature decided to have “blowing wintery mix” and everyone felt 10mph was a comfortable driving speed…I was meeting my date at The Spaghetti Warehouse for dinner in Downtown D Town.. which involves paralleled meter parking and one way streets .. all in all I was about 10 mins late.
Enjoyed a great dinner.. we even got to eat in a trolley, how cool is that? (Didn’t snap any photos though..) except… can you guess? oh yea.. there was an allusion to POOP in the dinner conversation.. REALLY? Don’t get me wrong, I had a great time all in all and LOVED dinner and WICKED but come on.. Guys really, NO POOP conversations the 1st date… or never in some cases. –> So now a new dating criteria.. if a guy talks POOP during date 1… He’s going to have to work really hard to keep me around if he’s interested!
NOW FOR … WICKED –> I LOVED IT! It was my first time seeing a performance at the Schuster and it was well worth the price. We had tickets in the Orchestra right near the sound booth.. And funny thing happened
CREEPER EXPERIENCE OF THE WEEK 2: I stood up to let someone walk past me and the sound booth guys … smile and offered “If you want you can sit up here with me, the seat is better than where you are sitting…” Yes everyone, I really was hit on by a creeper in the sound booth. Just my luck. No I did not sit with him, I sat with my date… though the sound booth was oh so tempting with all those buttons and levers… (Ha!)
Oh YEA! and.. I saw one of former Nursing Instructors from my 1st semester of nursing school. She made a serious impact on my nursing career and it just so happened she was also in Zebra print.. SERIOUSLY! It was meant to be! I <3 her.. and she’s on Facebook! I can’t wait to catch up with her!
Back to Wicked.. I <3′d the story line and fell in love with how it ties up all the loose ends of The Wizard of OZ.. I am totally an ALPHY and my friend PT is a GA-Linda.. it’s perfect! I recommend EVERYONE see it! It’s fabulous! … I am going to Toledo to see it in April! Let me know if you want a ticket and want to tag along!

Due to my oversleeping once again I do not have time to post anything worthwhile but instead would like to share a video I watched and loved from LDS.org (Scroll to the bottom of the page, that’s where I found the videos) there is also another great site that has some great videos as well.. Mormon.org – I have found in life that typically the small, sweet and simple things tend to be the more important! XoXo
So this year due to current “Relationship Circumstances” AKA [I am SINGLE] I decided to try to change my outlook on Valentines Day. Never have I had a real Valentine (or a fake one for that matter.) But after I got a book from my Buffa Lova PT titled “I hate Valentines Day” and got about a chapter into it, I realized … Really Valentines Day MEANS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. It’s just another day, and it was created by HallMark to increased revenue after the downward spiral post Christmas and New Year; they needed a little something to get over the hump until St. Patty’s Day. That is my story and I am stickin’ to it!
I was up late Saturday night because I thought I was going to be called into work, so I decided to pick out my church outfit since I had slept all day and couldn’t fall asleep. Normally I roll out of bed and place myself in something warm and comfortable; attractive is the last thing on my mind getting ready that early in the day. After about 2 hours of shuffling through my clothes I narrowed it down to 2 Choices:
1. A Black Lacy Vixen Seductive Themed Outfit–> (Leopard Print 3 inch Peep toe stilettos, tan / black lace skirt, tunic button down black dress shirt, Tiffany’s bracelet, Fossil watch, FAKE (I will have real ones some day..) 2 carat CZ earrings, a black beaded necklace and Kickin’ Curls to boot!)
2. A Typical Tropical Traveling Themed outfit –>(White Summer Dress – (I mostly wanted to wear to break all the fashion rules about wearing white) a button down tunic pink and blue stripped shirt, Sperry Top Sider Brown and Bronze boat shoes, pink bangle bracelets, gray circle shell earrings, and beach messy wavy pulled back hair with a headband)…
Well, since it was Valentines Day I figured I would propose a challenge. I wanted to make heads spin and guys drool… Though church isn’t the best setting, I chose the Black Lacy Vixen Seductive outfit, done tastefully of course, church was my only opportunity… And I don’t regret 1 second of it! I spent precious time curling my hair, and doing my makeup.. and I wore the outfit with confidence!
Not to mention it was pretty warm (30 degrees I think…) and a coat would have foiled my image so I garnished the outfit with a colorful scarf to protect me from the breeze outside! The decision was worth every second of it… I stroll into church as gracefully as I can, rollin’ on 3 inch heals.. only to notice heads turning my way, and all through church guys made their way out of the woodwork to compliment me with various compliments… all eluding to my gorgeous beauty (of course). Honestly this doesn’t normally happen on a regular basis, but I could get used to it!
I happened to snap a few pictures while driving. There is a certain part of Route 4 with impeccable lighting for photographing and I just can’t help myself. I snapped a bust and up picture and posted it on FB after church. I have had comments in person, via Facebook, Text Message and over the phone about my picture all night long and today. Seriously? Girl friends, married friends, guy friends, …guys I have crushes on, anybody and every body is noticing my picture. Little do they know I snapped about 32 pictures and had to shuffle and sort through them to find the perfect one to post. I PROMISE I am NOT that Narcissistic! I am just picky about my pictures and wanted the perfect one to capture the attitude that went along with my sleek physique yesterday!
I even had a few ask me how I managed my delicious curls… which if anyone knows how hair challenged I am… Is probably the biggest compliment of all. (I have had Hickey-like burns on my neck, ears, forehead.. you name it I have burned it.. typically followed by the curl falling out of my hair before I arrive at my destination..except when Elise my ROCKIN’ hair stylist does my hair it lasts forever! Schedule an apt with her at Square One [DownTown Dayton Location]) So I was pleased long before the comments started rolling in, just simply because my hair turned out.

Ok… I think I have rambled on long enough about “How Gorgeous I was yesterday…” P90x Update… I slacked one day last week after having an emotional release [2 day breakdown post my full body massage. When I asked my massage therapist Beth, about if its possible to have emotional releases after massage... She said ABSOLUTELY! It's not an excuse for being a crazy pants for 2 days but it def played a part in it! Check out Beth's FB Page and ask her about a massage, she's the BEST]… Sorry RAMBLING… FOCUS… Took Sunday off as my normal Break Day and it was Valentines Day… But back to the grind today, I switched out Yoga for Kenpo (Kickboxing) and used hand weights and LOVED it! I might do some of the Yoga routine before bed tonight… Well I need a shower and to get my day started.. That’s all for now.. You know you Love ME.. (And my hot body! Jokes!) XoXo…

For once the “shows” I watch haven’t left me an emotional
basket case wanting a crazy love story. Today, they taught me something different.
You can’t un-ring bells that have already been rang. You can’t take back things you’ve already said.

Which then made me think of the Beatles song,

Today I learned new things, a personally grew leaps and bounds..
…a “South West” wind in my life for the past 5 months has put a fresh gust of wind
in my sails, sending my sail boat to uncharted territories. Pleasantly
sailing into the horizon of life with a new outlook. And yes, the
Beatles song claims that all you need in life is love, I am going
to slightly twist that into, [All you needs is Love, from
Friendships.] – Whether they friends are family members, coworkers, or
whom ever. Cherish your best friends in life. They provide a fresh
prospective. They call you out when you are being a ridiculous
crazypants. They stand behind you and support you when you anchors
aren’t anchored anymore. Friends are the glue that hold your puzzle
pieces together, so that you can see the bigger picture. Friendships
are more important that “What ifs” and “Maybe Somedays” and friends
will be there even when you least expect them to.
Normally with Valentines Day I get bitter and angry (Well let’s
be honest my baseline personality is a little bitter & angry or sweet and sour..)
But V Day brings it out in me.. But today I just feel so refreshed.
I have a new view on friendships, relationships, expectations.
.. and I just revert back to one of my core beliefs. If something is
meant to be in will find a way and if not [Don't Force it] … because you
don’t want to break something that functions perfectly fine trying
make it into something different. So this blog post is
dedicated to my best friends and the Southwest wind that warms my heart and
soul with laughter and grounds me with reality.
